Attractions
Apart from the beautiful 18 hole championship golf course at your door when staying at the Golf Leisure Resort, there are a host of other attractions in Deniliquin and surrounds to make for an enjoyable stay.
The Edward River which runs through the centre of town provides beautiful sandy river beaches, and some great fishing spots. The river is a popular for swimming, kayaking and water-skiing.
The forests which surround the river have an abundance of walking tracks. Wild life abounds in these forests, with the area being extremely popular with bird-watchers and other nature-lovers.
Deniliquin has a number of beautiful parks and gardens, most created around natural water-courses, with the beautiful Waring Gardens being located in the heart of the central business district.
There are many historic buildings, such as the old George Street School, the Court House, the Police Inspector's residence and the Multi-Arts Centre. The old school has been transformed into a museum on the history of the Deniliquin area, and forms a part of the Peppin Heritage Centre, which now houses our Tourist Information Centre.
